What quality setting should I use?
For website and social media photos, 60–75 gives a big size reduction with no visible loss. Use 80–95 for print or photos you plan to edit again.
Why did my GIF or BMP come back as a JPG?
GIF and BMP have no quality setting to compress with, so the tool re-saves them as JPG, which is usually far smaller. Use Image Converter if you need a specific output format.
